Overall it looks good in the hands of users.

Acceptable Screen Size:

In low price, though the screen size is not perfect but is acceptable. Its display is bright and sharp and touch is also smooth. Screen is small in size but still color quality is good.

OS has raised the worth of Galaxy Star.  Jelly Bean along with the TouchWiz user interface has made it possible for the user to enjoy Gmail, fb, twitter, Google and WhatsApp. All these facilities work well in the handset.

Good Apps and Quality Games:

Android Jelly Bean has enabled Galaxy Star to access to all apps. Further the hardware is so strong that it can support all these apps. Battery works for 14hrs. Though it is not awesome but is acceptable.

Low Resolution and Small Sized Screen:

Small screen is not a big issue but low resolution is bothering. It doesn’t matters when somebody is using feature phone but if you switch to Android phone expectations are higher. Though minor but small screen is a problem and we hope that next versions Samsung will address these problems along with price.

Slow Speed:

Though using Google, Facebook, twitter is speedy but using heavy apps slows down the speed of the cell. Low speed RAM will flush out the apps used in the memory to make space for active apps.

Google removes record-breaking 200m piracy links so far in 2013

Google has been forced to remove over 200m “pirate” links from its search listings by rights holders in 2013 a four-fold increase over 2012.

Data released as part of Google’s transparency reports, compiled by TorrentFreak, show that at the current rate removal of alleged piracy links, Google will have been forced to delete over 250m by the end of 2013.

The UK and US recording industry trade bodies BPI and RIAA lead the charge for takedown notices, with a combined 74m requests so far in 2013.

FilesTube, a Poland-based file hosting site, had the highest level of removals with over 7.6m links deleted from Google search results. In total, Google was asked to remove links from 295,726 domains by 29,434 copyright holders.

Despite the record-breaking number of link removals, with Google removingmore than eight “pirate” links a second, Hollywood’s trade body, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), slammed Google for not doing enough to prevent people from finding pirated content.

“Search engines bear responsibility for introducing people to infringing content â€" even people who aren’t actively looking for it,” the chairman of the MPAA, Chris Dodd, said at the time. “The television and movie community is working every day to develop new and innovative ways to watch content online, and as the internet’s gatekeepers, search engines share a responsibility to play a constructive role in not directing audiences to illegitimate content.”

In the final week of September takedown notices sent to Google hit 5.3m spanning 37,413 domains from 5,407 copyright owners, which marked a 4008% increase over the first notice listings by Google in July 2011.

Google May Stick a Patent on Your Neck

What if your cellphone’s microphone was tattooed on your neck? Better yet, what if it was a lie detector as well?

Reducing the mechanical relationship between humans and technology has been a prevalent theme among players in the high-tech industry.

Google’s Motorola Mobility filed a patent for an electronic skin tattoo, or sticker. Essentially, this patent describes a noise-canceling, hand-free microphone for your cellphone that sticks on your throat.

The patented tattoo reduces acoustic noise, and connects to a communication device, wirelessly. This claimed invention could improve communication, especially in loud areas or in emergency situations.

But there is more. This electronic skin tattoo can carry a lie detector. The patent states that this temporary tattoo could “include a galvanic skin response detector.” If the user is “speaking falsehoods,” the tattoo can detect skin response caused by nervousness.

A spokesperson for Google’s Motorola Mobility declined to comment about the patent.

Earlier this year, Regina Dugan, senior VP at Google’s Motorola Mobility, mentioned some of its project goals. She said their division was working on attaching a password authentication to the skin.

According to the patent, this claimed invention’s system will have an embedded microphone, technology that enables wireless communication with mobile devices and a power supply.
